Everson, WA – Race night at Deming Speedway finally went off without Mother Nature trying to interfere with the racing action. The teams and fans enjoyed fantastic weather and great racing as wins on the night went to Jesse Schlotfeldt, Brock Lemley, Nick Evans, Carson Guffie and Cooper Anderson. 

For the second straight week, Jesse Schlotfeldt took the win in the Speedmart 600 Open division. Schltofeldt led every lap of the main event with little challenge as he gave car owner Phil Perkins his third win in a row dating back to last season. Levi Kuntz was fast time and took second in the feature with Ryley Mayer racing to third. Heat wins went to Schlotfeldt and Mayer. 

The Shots 2 Go 1200 Main showcased a great duel by Brock Lemley and Derek Holmwood. Lemley held the lead from the beginning with Holmwood coming up the field to take second about seven laps into the race. Racing full speed into and through traffic, it was nip/tuck over the final five laps with Lemley holding serve the hold time to score his first win of the season ahead of Derek and Jared Guundersen. Alex Lewis, Holmwood and Steven Hendrickson won heats. 

In a race that went green to checkered without stoppages, Nick Evans picked up his second feature win of 2022 in the NW Focus Midgets. Evans used a huge move in turns three and four to jump from fourth to the lead on the opening lap and was never challenged from there. The Munn Brothers ran second and third, with Jake finishing ahead of Jesse on the podium. Evans also won his heat race, as did Levi Harless. 

Carson Guffie went wire to wire for the victory in the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted main. Peyton Drake pressured him nearly all race long, finishing second while right on Guffie’s back bumper at the checkered flag. Levi Hillier ran a close third. Guffie and Hillier each won heats, as did Hunter Cook and Jailynn Serrano. 

In the Clean Crawls JR Sprints, Cooper Anderson put on a dominating performance in taking his first career win. Anderson led by over half the track before a late caution nunched the field up. BEhind Anderson, McKenna Morgan ran second and Sawyer Baxter took third. The three heat race winners were Chase Whitney, Baxter and James Hayashi.
