For the first time in eight long years, Dylan Resch motored to victory lane at Deming Speedway, capping off opening night at the track with fans in the stands for the first time since the fall of 2019. Joining Resch as winners on the night were Dakota Drake, Nick Evans, Levi Hillier and Dustin Ramsey. 

It’s been eight seasons of blood, sweat and tears since Dylan Resch visited victory lane at Deming Speedway. At the first race of 2021, Resch ended his winless streak by leading all 25 laps of the main event in the Speedmart 600 Open division. Resch started on the pole and had both Tanner Holm and Jared Peterson no further back than two car lengths for most of the race. Resch would keep the car low for the bulk of the feature and as traffic got heavy late in the race, made the correct decisions to clear the slower cars and keep her pursuers at bay. Resch would take the win ahead of Peterson and Holm in the end, and was greeted by a steady stream of his fellow competitors in victory lane, congratulating the 23 year old on seeing his hard work and perseverance pay off.  Heat wins went to Dakota Drake, Resch and Ryley Mayer. 

The show put on by Dakota Drake and Chance Crum at the front of the field in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class was epic. Crum was up on Drake numerous times, pushing her in both clean air and through slower cars to be perfect. Drake rose to the occasion time after time, first making a line change in clean air to slow Crum’s charge, then making deft moves past the slower cars to secure the victory. Crum finished second and Brock Lemley was third. Tyson Lemley and Crum were the heat winners. 

The pressure was heavy on Nick Evans from the drop of the green flag in the NW Focus midget main event. Evans spent all twenty five laps with both Chance Crum and Levi Harliss nipping at his heels, Time and again, the former track champion rose to the occasion, leading every circuit for his first win of the year. Crum ran second with Jake Munn making a late move to take third. The heat race winners were Evans and Harliss. 

The main event for the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted main event was dominated by Levi Hillier who led all 25 laps wire to wire for the opening night win. Corbin Ramsey and Levi Kuntz would battle for second place, with Ramsey holding off Kuntz for the runner-up spot.  Heat race winners were Ramsey, Peyton Drake and Ethan Lashley. 

It took a while for the Clean Crawls JR Sprint main to get on track, but when it did, Dustin Ramsey ran away for the feature win virtually unchallenged. Avery Askvig ran second with Braeden Wager taking third in his Deming Speedway debut. Colton Knapp and McKenna Morgan won the heat races.
