Everson, WA – The huge midseason championship night crowd at Deming Speedway enjoyed thrills on the track and in the sky as a huge fireworks show punctuated a great night of racing. Collin Mackey made a late race pass to take the win in the Speedmart 600 division and was joined in victory lane by Derek Holmwood, Sawyer Baxter and Hudson Johnson. A huge thanks goes out to Skagit Speedway for their pit support to the Deming Speedway teams and added purse on the night.

It was another classic duel up front in the Speedmart 600 feature between Levi Hillier and Collin Mackey. Similar to how previous battles have played out, Hillier led the pair into traffic where it was Levi holding the top spot until lap twenty five when Mackey short slid him into corner four and cleared him by mere inches in taking the lead. Mackey build a small advantage before Hillier reeled him back in on the white flag lap where the pair raced nose to tail into turn three with Mackey keeping HIllier at bay through the rest of the turn to take the win. Levi would settle for second with Jared Peterson taking third. Hillier won the scramble with Kyle Mitchell, Joe Constance and Ryley Mayer winning the heat races.

Derek Holmwood may have experienced some de ja vu on Friday night, as for the second straight week, he engaged in a side by side battle for the lead for most of the race. This week, it was Nate Vaughn working the low grove for the ast 15 laps of the main with Holmwood up high and for the second week in a row, it was Derek coming out on top for the win. Vaughn scored second with Peyton Drake running third. Alex Lewis won the scramble while heat races were won by Tyson Lemley and Parker Hadlock.

Sawyer Baxter went wire to wire for the win in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted class. Baxter led all the way despite heavy pressure from runner up Dustin Ramsey and third place finishing Jailynn Serrano all race long. Baxter also won the scramble while heat wins went to Chase Jensen, McKenna Morgana and Samantha Fraser.

In the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints, Hudson Johnson made another appearance in victory lane with a feature win. He led all 25 laps of the feature on top of winning the scramble. Madi Hoppe and Owen battled at the end for second and third place in the feature with Madi coming out on top. Delilah Stermer and Kole Campbell won the heat races.
