Everson, WA – Speedmart and Pacific Power Batteries sponsored the action at Deming Speedway on Friday night, where 80 cars dueled for an enhanced payout on the night thanks to Skagit Speedway and their track management. At the end of a fast and fun filled night, Colin Mackey, Brock Lemley, Austin Held and Drake Wiersma came away with wins,
After a bold move on the initial start, Colin Mackey rolled away to a win in the Speedmart 600 Open division. Mackey worked his way from third to first by the close of the first lap and ran away from the field to the win in front of Levi Hillier and Tristin Thomas. Heat wins went to Thomas and Parker Hadlock.
Levi Klatt looked like he had the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 main well in hand until disaster struck on lap 21. Mired in heavy traffic, Klatt ended up looping his car and coming to a stop at the top of turn one, causing a caution flag. The lead rolled over to Brock Lemley, who had fought and clawed his way up to second place just a lap earlier, and Brock took full advantage of his boon by leading the final three laps of the main for the win. Second went to Jacob Buckenmeyer while third was Tyson Cross. Heat wins went to Alex Lewis, Clennon Holloway and Parker Hadlock.
Austin Held put together 25 excellent laps of racing in front of the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted field for his first win in the division. Dustin Ramsey was close to him for most of the race but Held never wavered, taking the victory ahead of Ramsey and third place Cooper Anderson. Jayce Medcalf, Colton Knapp, Held and Fairah Lee won the heats.
Drake Wiersma added another trophy to his mantle in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Wiersma led all twenty laps of the main event, holding off Hudson Johnson and Kole Campbell for the win. Johnson, Campbell and Kaden Riese were the heat race winners.
