Everson, WA – Another huge field of cars graced Deming Speedway for Napa / Bob Hillier Trucking / Carrier Racing Engines night at the track. Colin Mackey and Derek Holmwood became two time winners on the year, Hudson Johnson picked up his third feature win and Colton Knapp was joined by Cameron Stark as first time winners at Deming Speedway in 2024. 

Mackey became the first two time winner on the year in the Speedmart 600 class. Mackey chased down and passed David Greene for the lead on lap 13 and held off a strong challenge from eventual runner-up Jared Peterson to secure the win. Greene would end up in third. Greene won his heat race, as did Dylan Resch. 

The Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 main event went green to checkered with no cautions flags, and it was Derek Holmwood leading every lap but the first en route to victory lane. Holmwood, like Mackey in the 600 class, became the first two time winner in the division in 2024 and was followed to the line by Seth Hespe and Parker Hadlock. Parker also won a heat race, as did Jacob Buckenmyer and Nate Vaughn. 

In the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted division, Colton Knapp made a late pass of race leader Clayton Jalakas in traffic to secure his first win of the year. Knapp made the race winning pass on lap 21, with Jalakas and Dustin Ramsey following him to the checkered flag four laps later. Chris Dalhuisen, Emma Chorney, Cruz Kentch and Jayce Medcafl won the heat races. 

Hudson Johnson now has three wins in five attempts as he took the win in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Johnson took over the lead from Jordan Devries with a pass in traffic on the low side on lap 10. Devries came home in second with Kayson Sargent collecting his first Deming Speedway podium by running third. Heat race wins went to Johnson, Sargent and Lucas Fisher. 

For the first time in five years, the AMCA Bandit Dwarf Cars came to Deming Speedway. Cameron Stark dominated the night, winning the main event and the heat race ahead of Dale Knutson and Daryl Knutson.
