Everson, WA – Night number two of the 39th annual Clay Cup Nationals is in the books at Deming Speedway, where 136 cars once again competed for points that will line up the main events at Saturday’s Clay Cup finale’. Derek Holmwood won the 1200 feature, passing Jared Gundersen on lap 11 en route to the win. Colin Mackey went slidejob crazy, storming from eighth to take the lead on lap 15 for the feature win in the 600 Open division. Lucam Mauldin made a last lap pass of Colton Knapp to win the feature in the 600 Restricted class and Briggs Davis dominated the JR Sprint feature, leading all twenty laps. Final Clay Cup points will be posted on DemingSpeedway.com when complete as well as Deming Speedway’s facebook page. The action will conclude on Saturday night where over $60,000 in prize money will be given out. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 7p.
