Everson, WA – With Mother Nature threatening to ruin the party all night, Deming Speedway powered through a fast night of racing. Once the final checkered flag flew, the night’s winners gathered in Victory Lane where Tyler McLeod, Nate Vaughn, Nick Evans, Destry Miller and McKenna Morgan took the top prizes.

The night finished with the Speedmart 600 Open division where Tyler McLeod picked up his second win of the season. McLeod would lead all 25 laps of the main event ahead of Blaine Granberg and Colin Mackey. McLeod also won a heat race. The two other heat race wins went to Jeremy Holz and Jesse Schlotfeldt.

In the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division, Nate Vaughn picked up a victory in just his second race of the year. Vaughn took the lead on the high side from Dakota Drake on lap three and went on the rest of the way to take the win. Steven Hendrickson rolled up to second with Derek Holmwood taking third and the heat wins going to Vaughn, Holmwood and Alex Lewis.

For the second straight week, Shane Smith and Nick Evans dueled for the win in the NW Focus Midgets. Smith set the pace, taking the lead over on lap two with Evans close in tow. Evans would try everything he could in clean air to find a way around Smith but couldn’t quite get by. The pair entered slower traffic on the very last lap of the main with Smith tagging the back bumper of a slower car and costing him a little momentum heading into turn three. Smith would swing high, trying to get a clean run around the lapper, but his momentum loss from the contact allowed Evans to pull even on the inside of the track through the middle of the corners and as the pair drag raced to the checkered flag it was Evans pulling ahead and taking the win by .051 ahead of Shane. Jared Peterson ran third. Heat race wins went to Evans and Peterson.

It was a casual, easy Friday evening stroll around the race track for Destry Miller in winning his second main of the year in the Mytrafficman.Net 600 Restricted main event. Miller led every lap without challenge, ahead of Peyton Drake and Keira Zylstra. Carson Guffie and Kane Van Sickle were heat race winners.

McKenna Morgan led a pack of Clean Crawls JR Sprints who rolled from the back of the pack forward in the 20 lap A Main. Morgan started sixth and passed three cars in one lap to take the lead on lap four, then held off a hard charging Brooklyn Constance (who started eighth) to take the feature win. Fifth place starting Clayton Jalakas rounded out the podium. Morgan and Jalakas also won the heats.
