Everson, WA – For the second time on the season and his career, Spencer Constance walked away as the feature winner at Deming Speedway in the Speedmart 600 Class on a Friday night. It was Max Higby Center night at the track, sponsored by IKO, Northwest Propane and Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Center and joining Spencer as winners were Tanner Holm, Jared Peterson, Colton Knapp and Owen Hill. 

Constance jetted away from the field at the drop of the green flag while an incredible battle for second started. Levi Hillier, Colin Mackey, Jared Peterson and Tyler McLeod all vied for the runner up spot before Hillier broke loose and started his move toward Constance. Despite a couple of cautions bundling the field up, Constance would endure each restart to drive on for his second win ahead of Levi and Peterson. Heat race wins went to David Greene, McLeod, Mackey and Dylan Resch. 

Tanner Holm brought the Frosty Metcalfe owned car to the win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class. Holm found room underneath Terry Lewis to make the pass of the win on lap 14. Lewis would end up second with Austin Edson taking third. Edson was a heat race winner as was Nate Vaughn and Jared Gundersen.

In the NW Focus Midgets, Jared Peterson passed Shane Smith with five laps remaining to take his second win of the year, and second in a row. Smith led from lap five until Peterson got to him, who used a strong move to the inside off turn four to make the race winning pass. Levi Klatt followed Shane to the line for third place. The three heat race wins went to Klatt, Nick Evans and Chuck Pierce. 

Patience was Colton Knapp’s best friend on Friday night at Deming Speedway. Waiting until turn two of the final lap of the main event, Knapp found just enough room to pass Sawyer Baxter on the bottom of the race track after trailing him for over half the race to score his second win of 2024 in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted class. Reese Wickard and Austin Held ran second and third. Heat wins went to Samantha Fraser, Dustin Ramsey, McKenna Morgan and Chloe Danielson.

Owen Hill went wire to wire to win the Capstone Plastering JR Sprint main. Hill held off a hard charging Hudson Johnson in the end to take the win, with Johnson taking second and Lucas Fisher getting his best finish at Deming Speedway with a third. Aiden Stone, Johnson and Madi Hoppe won the heat races.
