Everson, WA – It was Bailey’s Tire Service / Capstone Plastering night at Deming Speedway with 80 cars in attendance duking it out for top honors. When the final flag flew on the night, it was Levi Hillier, Jacob Buckenmeyer, Colton Knapp and Owen Hill taking wins. 

Hillier had an easy run of things in the Speedmart 600 division. After earning the pole for the main event, Levi led every lap of the main without challenge as his hot streak over the past 30 days marched on. David Greene and Colin Mackey rounded out the podium. Mackey won the first heat race while Dominic Carter won heat two. 

Kyle Mitchell looked to be on his way to another win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class when disaster struck late. Racing through lapped traffic, Mitchell made contact with a slower car, knocking his right front tire off and ending his race with just three laps to go. This handed the lead to Jacob Buckenmeyer who went the rest of the way for his first feature win of the year. Derek Holmwood made a late rally to take second ahead of Clennon Holloway. Nate Vaughn and Mitchell won the heat races. 

In the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted, Colton Knapp pulled off a rare clean sweep of the evening. After setting fast time and winning his heat race, Knapp also led all 25 laps of the main event to bust out the broom over the rest of the field. Clayton Jalakas and Sawyer Baxter rounded out the podium while the other heat race winners were Bailey Bundy, Samantha Fraser and Baxter. 

The finish of the night came in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Drake Wiersma had led the first 19 laps of the main but faced heavy traffic in front of him with second place Owen Hill right on his tail coming to the white flag. Drake had to make a decision and opted to try and loop around the slower traffic in the high groove. Hill would shoot in low and as the pair raced off the final corner, it was Hill taking the top spot out of the final corner on the final lap for the win. Wiersma had to settle for second ahead of third place Aiden Stone. The heat race winners were Stone, Delilah Stermer and Lucas Fisher.
