Everson, WA – Night one of the Mt Baker Academics & Athletics Weekend was the Jared Peterson show, as the veteran driver won main events in two of the five classes racing on the night. Kyle Mitchell, Chloe Danielson and Hudson Johnson were the other division winners. 

Peterson took top honors in the Speedmart 600 division in the main event of the evening. With Kyle Mitchell lurking for the first half of the race, Peterson made all the right moves with his lines in clean air and decisions in traffic to keep the top spot all race long. Mitchell was second with Colin Mackey taking third. Heat race winners were Peterson, David Greene and Dakota Drake. 

Kyle Mitchell has had the Brock Lemley owned Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 rolling strong since the first time he jumped in it, racing to another win on Friday night. Mitchell led every lap of the main, turning away Nate Vaughn and Derek Holmwood for the victory. Holmwood and Jared Alseth won the heats. 

The hot streak continued for Jared Peterson in the NW Focus MIdgets, who added another win to his resume in the Inlaws Racing Machine. Peterson took the lead on lap 13 from Nick Evans to continue his undefeated run in the car that stretches back to early June. Evans was second with Shane Smith taking third. Evans was a heat race winner, as was Alex Peck and Ryan Orchard. 

Chloe Danielson led all 25 laps of the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted main event for his first career win at Deming Speedway. Danielson led every lap, surviving multiple starts and restarts to take the win ahead of Clayton Jalakas and Dustin Ramsey. Chris Dalhuisen, Hudson Little, Avery Askvig and Ramsey won the heat races. 

It was another feature win for Hudson Johnson in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Johnson took off to the initial lead and never looked back, leading every lap of the feature ahead of Aiden Stone and Kayson Sargent. Stone and Johnson were heat race winners, as was James Drury.
