Everson, WA – Mother Nature stopped the opening night of Deming Speedway slightly early but not before three of the five scheduled main events were completed. Winning features on the night were Nick Evans, Mallory Fisher and Colton Knapp – the 1200 and 600 features were rained out before their main events could run. 

The NW Focus Midgets made their season debut and Nick Evans ended up the big winner of the night. The reigning track champion led every lap of the main event in dominant fashion, topping the podium with Levi Harless and Kyle Hanson running second and third. Harless and Jake Munn won the heats. 

It was the first career win in the Mytrafficman.NEt 600 Restricted class for Mallory Fisher. Fisher was racing with Fairah Lee for the lead when disaster struck the lead pack on lap 4, as Lee and third place running Levi Hilier ended up colliding with a slower car, ending Levi’s night and sending Fairah to the back of the pack. Mallory took the lead and never looked back, taking the victory ahead of Peyton Drake and Ryan Bright. Hillier, Corbin Ramsey and Lee won the heat races. 

Colton Knapp grabbed his first Deming Speedway win in the Clean Crawls JR Sprints. Knapp won his heat race and ran down McKenna Morgan to take the lead on lap 11 of the feature as he stormed to victory, with Sawyer Baxter and Kinley ASkvig rounding out the podium, Heat winners were Knapp and Morgan. 

The Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division was on the track and tried to get their A Main going, but two crashes occured before a lap could get in and then Mother Nature opened up the skies and the race was called. Heat winners were Parker Hadlock and Terry Lewis. 

Speedmart 600 Open cars were also on the schedule, but could not get on the track for their feature. In heat race action, Jayden Whitney and Colin Mackey took wins.
