Everson, WA – On a fast night at Deming Speedway, the Drake siblings made it a family affair in victory lane, with Dakota Drake taking the win in the 1200 class while little brother Peyton won in the 600 restricted division. Joining them as winners on the five class show were Jeremy Holz, Shane Smith and Avery Askvig.

Peyton Drake was the first of the siblings to grab a victory, as he led all 25 laps of the Mytrafficman.Net 600 Restricted A Main. Drake got the jump from the outside of row one and turned away a late race charge from Levi Hillier to secure the win. Levi Kuntz ended up third. Heat wins went to Keira Zylstra, Zoey Tupper and Rylee Kentch. Ethan Lashley won the B Main.

Not to outdone by little brother, Dakota Drake took the win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. Drake inherited the lead when Brock Lemley had an engine fail on him on lap 12 and ran the rest of the way without challenge to pick up her second win of the season. Derek Holmwood and Jared Gundersen rounded out the podium. Brock and Holmwood were the heat winners.

Jeremy Holz went the distance from the pole in the Speedmart 600 Open class to grab his first win of 2021. Holz held off Jared Peterson in the late stages of the race for the win, with Parker Hadlock taking third. Peterson, Macie Logsdon, Ryley Mayer and Tanner Holm won the heat races and Tyler Conley topped the B Feature.

Shane Smith ended Nick Evans’ winning streak at Deming Speedway by leading all 25 laps of the A Main in the Brian Rose owned car for the NW Focus Midgets. Evans gave Smith a good run late in the race, nearly pulling even with him coming to the checkered flag, but Smith carried his momentum off the high groove to secure the win. Levi Harless was third. Smith and Evans won the heats.

In the Clean Crawls JR Sprints, Avery Askvig led all 20 laps for her second feature win of 2021. Askvig led every lap with Brooklyn Constance finishing hot on her heels for second and Dustin Ramsey running third. Oliver Kairis and Clayton Jalakas were heat race winners.
