The Northwest Mini Sprint Association is inviting everyone to our year end picnic!

It will be Saturday, September 11th at Deming Speedway. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert and a beverage of your choice and join us in the fun!

Fun starts at 1pm, come when you like and have fun in the bounce house, games for kids, fans and drivers!

When moving up from another Main you do not carry over your points

1 point given for position gain in A Mains and Heats. Must Qualify to receive your Position Gain Points

30 points will be given as show up points if someone is not able to start the main. You do not carry over time trial, heat or position gain points. You will be given 30 points total for the evening

 

 

Rule Changes for 2010

600

600 Head "Open Head", No Restrictions

Stock Piston

Stock Bore and Stroke

Bottom End: No machining to remove weight or balance the crank (no after-market or lightweight cranks)

Stock connecting rods must be used (no after-market rods)

After-market rod bolts may be used

Clutch/Transmission: May use aftermarket clutch discs. Hub must remain stock. Clutch must remain operable. Transmission gears must be stock, no close-ratio gears or nonstandard gear ratios. All gear must remain in transmission, no removing any gears.

Stock appearing ignitions must be used No Rev Limits for any engine.

600's will have a minimum weight of 775

600R

Stage 1 Head (formerly Deming "600 Stock")

NO PORTING, Blending the Bowls, or Blending the valve seats (exhaust or intake) valve jobs are acceptable

Cams do not need to be stock, but the lift must be no greater than stock (duration is open) reference US6A Engine Specifications chart for cam specs

Cam timing may be adjustable

May use any valves, but they may be no larger than stock valves. NO titanium valves unless they are OEM stock parts used on the correct make and model engine

Head may be resurfaced

Any head gasket may be used

Clutches must be stock

Stock Ignition must be used and Stock Rev limits

Restrictor plates: 3/4" restrictor plates must be positioned flat in between the head and throttle body; such that ALL air entering the engine MUST flow throught the 3/4" hole in the restrictor plate. Plates must be postioned anywhere in the "Stack" (head, minifold, throttle body), so long as air flow meets the above criteria

Note: In 2011, "Stage 1" heads will no longer be permitted in 600R Class. Pure stock engines only
